Chester Playhouse is Proud to Welcome Back Andrew White!
Chester, Nova Scotia - Andrew White is back in Nova Scotia for a special performance at the Chester Playhouse on Sunday, August 21st at 8.00 p.m. He will be showcasing new material from his forthcoming album Song of Life.
Andrew is a great friend of the Playhouse and is returning for the 5th time in 6 years, and he is a performer not be missed. "Andrew is a magical writer, listen to him with your heart" - Tommy Emmanuel.
“Andrew is a great story teller. He draws you into his music with lyrics that are both meaningful and at times, deeply personal. In Walk in Light, you walk in Andrew’s shoes for a moment and come out on the other side better for it,” -Rob Poland, founder of Candyrat Records.
After 30 years of performing, Andrew’s songs are a roadmap of the experiences of a musical life coupled with the wondrous guitar technique that has left thousands of people breathless. White recently released his twelfth album Walk in Light, recorded by Candyrat Records. Walk in Light shows off Andrew’s versatility while being his most ambitious album to date.
Opening the show, fresh from his debut performance at the Canadian Guitar festival, is Australian guitarist Owen Van Larkins. Born and raised in the Australian outback, Owen Van Larkins’ love of the bush, earth, wind and fire are all tangible in his music; and music, rhythm and melody are the language he uses to tell his stories. Van Larkins burst onto the International guitar scene last year with the release of 'Myriad' produced by Andrew White on the Candyrat label.
“To listen to Owen Van Larkins play guitar is to watch some magic of nature that both amazes and calms the spirit.” -Andrew White
